Product Details

Large medieval bollock pouch with a gusset that makes for a very large internal volume with incised and stamped decoration on the front flap and a period appropriate latten (brass) buckle. Will suit lower and middle class folk with lots of things to carry.

Medieval people didn’t have pockets in their clothing so they wore belt pouches often called at the time pockets and used them to carry all their daily essentials. Whether you are a living history purist or you like to carry your car keys, mobile phone and some loose change, these will suit.

Based a composite of examples from the amazing book 'Purses in Pieces' by Olaf Goubitz.

Height of pouch excluding belt loops 14cm/5.5 inches

Width of pouch 25cm/10 inches

Gusset opening 20cm/8 inches

Will suit belt widths up to 4cm/1.5 inches

Please note: The colours may vary in tone from the photos here.  Each skin of leather is different and reacts differently to the dye so they may be darker or lighter in tone
